Birthday Parties!
No matter if it is the birthday of a
child, a parent, friend, relative or even an Association, a
Company or a Community Center, birthdays are part of life’s
celebrations.
Why not take a little of the wedding
experience and turn that celebration into something very
special?
Create a sign-in poster or a matted
framed picture where guests can express their wishes while
creating memories that can be displayed.
Brides are shying away from traditional
wedding cakes and opting for cupcakes and dessert tables.
Try something like this for a birthday party instead of a
birthday cake. Or create a candy counter. Have small bags
and assorted candies, like colorful M&M’s, penny candy or
bite sized bars, in pretty containers so the guest can scoop
candy into the bags and take them home. This is a great
party favor.
Show a video or looped slide show of
the guest of honor whether it be a person, building or area,
from the birth to present.
Make a “Wishing Tree”. Spray paint a
Manzanita branch (you can get them at the nursery) and
secure it in a container. Take little note cards and punch
holes in the cards and tie a ribbon on them. Display the
cards around the Tree with pens and have the guest write
down their birthday celebration wishes and then hang them on
the tree. Not only does the tree blossom during the party,
the wishes are everlasting.
And of course, you can plan a theme
party. Princesses, pirates, cowboys or superheroes…for kids
from 8 to 80, imagination and adventure make wonderful
celebrations even better!
